This is a culmination of my work over the past 6 months, and it's honestly the project I feel the most proud of building in my 10+ year career in tech.

It's able to take actions on your behalf - read files, move them around, edit them.

Kaguya is the most advanced AI local coding assistant currently on the market.

It’s currently available in a few different flavors.

  • A VS Code extension
  • A ChatGPT plugin

The ChatGPT plugin is fully open-sourced here.

The VS Code extension, on the other hand, is currently in private alpha.

We’re in the process of slowly releasing it as we go.

  • What’s the difference between Kaguya and GitHub Copilot Chat?

  • There are three advantages to using Kaguya over Copilot Chat:

      1. Kaguya gives you the ability to select the model you want to use - ChatGPT, GPT-4, or any other model in the future.
      1. Kaguya allows you to select multiple files to load as part of the context for the LLM you are using.
      1. Kaguya can also act as an AI agent, taking actions on your behalf, performing file operations.
